Chapter 846 Bella decided to leave the group chat, giving her sisters sprivate tto talk.

Merritt emerged from the kitchen with a pot of homemade hangover soup, noticing Bella heading to her room. He followed her in to offer the remedy, even though Bella wasn't quite in need of it-after all, it was just a bit of sparkling wine. Still, appreciating his gesture, she sipped a bowl.

"Bella, the hot water is ready if you need to freshen up," Merritt mentioned.

After a long journey, Bella was indeed feeling a bit grungy. "Can I take a shower?" While Merritt was taking his grandmother to a treatment in Vista Town, he had entrusted the upkeep of the small house to the neighbor next door. Alongside regular cleaning, maintaining the old but functional heater was a priority.

"Of course, I just heated it up," Merritt confirmed.

Bella headed to the shower while Merritt brought the hangover soup to Christine and Jane, who appeared a little more than tipsy. With a hearty clink of their bowls, they declared, "It's all in the spirit, bottoms up!" Jane joined in enthusiastically, leaving Merritt bemused yet amused. He stepped aside, not wanting to interrupt the sisterly bonding that seemed to be heading toward mutual pledges of lifelong friendship.

As Bella finished up, she could still hear Christine's voice in the courtyard, even breaking into song. Shaking her head, Bella realized her early bedtwas now a thing of the past.

Christine, meanwhile, grabbed a wine bottle, pretending it was a microphone, and started singing passionately. It was nearing midnight when Merritt had to gently restrain her to prevent disturbing the neighbors. "Tomorrow, I'll take you to a karaoke bar," he promised. "You can sing as much and as long as you like. But for now, let's get ssleep, okay?" Christine sprang to her feet. "Alright!" Merritt was about to help her to bed when she added, "Tomorrow, we should go hiking and offer prayers." Merritt was taken aback. "Hiking and prayers?" he echoed skeptically.

But by the tmorning came, Christine had forgotten all about her late-night plans. Merritt, who had a few days off from filming, was up early, gathering gear for the hike. He went to wake Christine, only to find Betta emerging with Mira, signaling him to keep quiet.

"How much did they drink last night?" Bella asked with a smile.

"Not much," Merritt shrugged, "but apparently enough to keep them in bed." "Hiking can wait," Bella reassured him. "Let them sleep in. We're not in a rush, and there's no work pressing us." "Vacations are meant to be relaxing, not stressful," she added.

Merritt headed off to help Helena prepare breakfast. As they set the table, Dailey and Gregory arrived with several others carrying food containers. The last person unfolded a large table and began setting out an array of exquisite dishes. Merritt's simple breakfast of pancakes suddenly seemed humble in comparison.

Once the guests had left, Raleigh sat down next to Bella. "What did you all talk about last night?" Bella asked softly.

Raleigh shook his head. "I was asleep, not sure. But it probably involved the whole marriage license issue." Bella nodded. It certainly wasn't easy to hide such matters from the Clarkson family. But on the other hand, the family wouldn't let Dailey

and Christine get married easily either. All she could do was find the right tto offer sadvice. "Sweetheart, cto Daddy," Gregory said, taking Mira from Bella's arms.

Mira gurgled at him, and he chuckled, "You've adapted well, haven't you?"

Bella nodded, "Yes, she didn't fuss at all last night. When I hen I woke up this morning she was playing quietly in her crib." "That's my girl," Gregory praised.

Mira giggled, and Gregory cuddled her close. Turning to Bella, Ge asked, "Where's Jane?" mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliI0fiflO&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofifl0&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
