Chapter 19
The pain was so intense that Dexter felt his soul leave his body. Cold sweat broke out on his forehead as he lay
curled up in bed, letting out low groans
of agony.
Angela was stunned. She hadn't kicked him that hard. It had just been a light... nudge.
“Angela... Graham!" His voice was terrifyingly cold, like he was ready to kill. "Get... Get a doctor... here. Now!"
A doctor? He couldn't have suffered irreparable damage, could he?
Angela panicked and went to call the doctor as she was told.
The doctor spent stasking where the injury was.
Dexter roared, "It's my groin!"
Angela stayed by the door, peeking in. Only half of her head was visible.
She overheard the doctor explain that Dexter had almost suffered permanent damage. He should stay in bed

“Get in here, Angela!" Dexter commanded coldly, his expression brooding.
Angela cleared her throat and stepped inside cautiously. "Mr. Bamford, | swear it wasn't
on purpose."
Dexter extended his hand toward her. "Chere."
His voice sounded oddly calm. This made Angela even more hesitant. She knew Dexter well enough to know that
the calmer he seemed, the more trouble was brewing.
The next second, her wrist was gripped with brutal force, as she had expected.
Dexter smiled menacingly and said, “Tell me, Angela. How should | punish you?"
His grip tightened as though he intended to break her. Pain shot through Angela's wrist, turning her face pale.
Gritting her teeth, Angela struggled but couldn't break free. "Well, if it's that serious, you could always consider
IVF. Medical technology has cso far. I'm sure it can help fulfill your dream of becoming a father!"
"Do you have a death wish?" Dexter's anger flated even more.
Angela's face turned ashen as she searched for a way to escape. Suddenly, she heard Donna's voice outside the
door. "Mr. Bamford, Madam Fiona is here."
Under normal circumstances, news of Fiona's arrival would have filled Angela with

anxiety. But now, she couldn't help but think that Fiona was her savior.
So, Angela hurried downstairs to greet her.
Fiona, however, was as indifferent as ever. “Have you made any progress in having a baby? Where's Dexter? |
need to speak with him.”
Donna respectfully walked over with a cup of freshly brewed Earl Grey tea. She placed it carefully in front of
Fiona, who took a small sip of it.
Angela kept her head down but said nothing.
“Have you gone mute?” Fiona becdispleased at her silence.
“Dexter suffered a minor injury. The doctor said he should stay in bed and avoid moving around,” Angela
explained with pursed lips.
Fiona shét her a glare and criticized, “Why didn't you say so earlier? What kind of wife are you?"
With that, Fiona went upstairs. She had always been authoritative.

She questioned Dexter about what was wrong, but he said nothing. So, she called for the doctor to cover
and explain his condition to her.
"I accidentally injured myself. Don't pry further-I find it embarrassing." Dexter finally spoke up coldly. "Dexter,
your grandfather hasn't been in good health recently. Both you and your cousin, Lionel, are the only sons in each
of your households. Whoever manages to produce an heir first will have a significant advantage in securing more
in the future.
“I heard that Lionel has been actively going on dates. Your Aunt Ursula is as efficient as they come. If they find a
match, they'll likely move quickly toward engagement, marriage, and having children.
"You need to hurry up. Don't fall behind over something trivial. Do you understand?” Fiona instructed firmly.
Dexter took a deep breath and remained silent
Fiona continued, "Also, your Uncle Miles will return in a few days, so Lionel will be there as well. Your grandfather
has always been fond of him. You should make an effort to impress him. Don't let yourself be outshone by an
illegitimate child."
Lionel Bamford was the sole son of Miles Bamford, who was Joseph's second son. But he had only been brought
back to the family a year ago.
