The Beta’s Regret

(King Pison's Pov) Finally, she was inside.

I could smell her intoxicating scent mixed heavily with the smell of crowberries all the way from the inner chamber.

I almost laughed out loud at the thought. Of course! She must have tried hard to mask her scent just so she could escape my guards; that was smart, but it would never work for a wolf as powerful as I was.

I was no longer a mere hybrid wolf. I had Hades' power coursing through my veins, and nothing could ever skip my notice except I chose to let it, just like how Hades had informedthe minute Eden entered palace territory. I beccurious if she would be able to evade my rogues and get to me.

Well, she did.

I sniffed, and a slight shiver ran throughat the scent. Even with the Crowberries, her scent still excited me.

I got out of bed, and a maid rushed to my side and bowed slightly as she obediently followed behind me. When we got out of the inner chambers, other maids who had been drawing a bath forrushed to my side. I smirked. I was sure Eden could see all of this. This was the kind of life she would get if she becmine. "Leave everyone." I said in a dismissive tone. I could sense the doubt among the maids, but they wasted no tin obeying my command.

They knew what it would mean: immediate punishment.

As soon as the maids were out, I turned in the direction I knew Eden hid. I lifted my arms and allowed the towel around my waist to fall to my feet, baring myself before Eden.

I heard her squeak, obviously shocked at what I just did. I smirked.

I took another sniff and noticed that aside from Eden's scent, there was another. I felt my protective instincts stir. My pup.

"I know you are here; I can smell you. Cout." I said.

She didn't answer immediately. It was almost as if she didn't hear a word I said. I felt my annoyance pick at her abrupt disregard of my command.

"You cannot hide from me." I said.

There was a heavy sigh before Eden shuffled her feet and stepped out from behind the curtain she was hidden in, her eyes fixed onin a way that madestir strangely but I fought hard for control.

God! She was such a beauty. I could never tire of just looking at the delicate structure of her face and body. And to think that beneath all of that, she was as stubborn as a mule.

I grinned. That wasn't a problem. I could always bend her to my will; it made it more... exciting.

My eyes ran up and down her length. I could see why the moon goddess would choose to use her as an instrument just like I was for Hades.

The minute that horrifying hell god had informedof Eden's blessings, I was in doubt, but seeing her now, that aura that just seemed to coff her in light waves, I believed. She was indeed...something else. The moon goddess chose her to give birth to the chosen child, I was told. Eros's child. I felt my fists tighten in anger. There could only be one chosen child, which is my pup. Hades' choice.

I had a lot to do, and one of them was making sure Eden's pup never survives childhood. I would kill the little thing just like I did his father and turn his mother into my whore.

I knew what Hades thought about it; he hated that idea as much as I loved it,having Eden in my bed, squirming as I took her to the peak of ecstasy and back.

Hades believes Eden might be my doom, but I could also be her doom. I wanted everything Eros owns, including Eden, and nothing could stopfrom getting whatever it was I wanted. Not even the god of hell.

Eden crossed her hands on her chest and raised her chin in confidence. I chuckled.

"I am here now; what is it?" Eden said and narrowed her gaze on me.

There was something about her tone that excited and insultedat the stime.

I took a few steps forward and closed the space between us. I raised my hand and touched Eden's hair. They remindedof the sun shining its brightest in the heat of the day.

With a slow smirk, I leaned in and whispered in her ear. "I want you, beneath me, beggingto fuck you senseless. To shut your mouth up with my length and force you to submission." I felt Eden shiver, and a sense of satisfaction crawled through me. It was working.

"You will be my queen and mother to my daughter." I finished.

I knew Eden would react, but what I didn't expect was how she also leaned in and placed her palm on the back of my head as she buried her fingers in my hair and pulleddown to whisper in my ears. I almost growled in pleasure at the sensation her breath on my skin caused.

"Queen... I like the sound of that.

Eden stepped back, and I saw her reach for her back, ack, taking Lily in her arms as she handed the pup over to me. I hesitated a little before I collected the baby.

The moment I held her, I felt a strong energy from her, and I knew immediately that she was indeedh Hades chosen to wreak havoc on the world. Eden took Lily back fromand walked away. I followed her into the inner chamber, where she dropped the baby at the end of the bed.

She turned to me, and before I could say a word Eden, she conto me. She ran herfingers over my chest, En placing soft kisses on my skin. I threw my head back in pleasure and didn't notice when Eden's hand swiped over my pendant.

I was still lost in the excitement of Eden's touch when a knock on the door interrupted us.

My eyes flew open, and I mind-linked.

I'm busy! What is it? The guard answered quickly. "I'm sorry, your highness, but we have an urgent situation." "This better be important, or I will make sure I have your head." I threatened "Intruders, we have caught the intruders." He announced.
