Chapter 110

Out of curiosity, Josephine clicked on the person's profile and was shocked to see it filled with insults directed at

her. And not just petty jabs.

There were posts cursing her existence, comments telling her to "go die", and even more vile messages

targeting her parents, her loved ones, and even her unborn child. Over two thousand of them.

And judging by the timestamps, this person had been spewing hatred at her for three years straight. Who the

hell hated her this much? Was it an obsessed fan of Yvan's, or sscorned lover from his past?

Staring at the sheer volof venomous words, even she-someone long used to online hate-felt a strange

discomfort creeping in. She took a few screenshots, then pulled up Yvan's contact and sent the images over.

Josephine was about to ask him if he was aware of this account when she realized he had blocked her. That

bastard! She should have known better than to reply to him! Hence, she didn't hesitate to return the favor.

The next morning, Josephine boarded the earliest flight to Sunvale with George. And she had to admit—having

an assistant like George made everything way easier.

He helped her with her luggage, found her seat, and got her a blanket on the plane. He even guided her to a car

when they landed, and she didn't even need to go back to the villa-she simply handed her bags to George and

headed straight for the hotel where the auditions were taking place.

But the moment she arrived, she was surprised by the crowd outside the hotel. A crowd of about a hundred fans

had gathered outside the hotel entrance. Who were they even waiting for?

Not wanting to be spotted and plastered all over the internet, she quickly pulled out a pair of sunglasses from

her bag, slipping them on before making her way through the crowd. For a moment, she was tense, half-

expecting someone to recognize her. But no one even spared her a second glance.

After going upstairs, she found the suite and noticed the door was slightly ajar. So, she pushed it open and

walked in. The moment she entered, all eyes in the room turned to her.

"It's Director Jo!" A young, handsactor was the first to notice her. Excited, he immediately walked up to her,

extending his hand for a firm handshake.

"Director Jo, I'm a huge fan of yours!"

"Director Jo! It's an honor!"

One after another, the actors gathered around, greeting her enthusiastically. All except for Ethan. He hadn't

moved from his seat.

Josephine gave them a small smile. "The eight of you were handpicked from hundreds of audition tapes. That

means both myself and the directing team were thoroughly impressed by your skills."

As soon as her words fell, their faces lit up with excitement. "Thank you, Director Jo!" Being praised by her-a

once-in-a-generation talent in the industry-was no small feat. Of course, they were excited.

"But," she continued. "Auditions aren't just about skill. Sometimes, luck plays a part too. So, if any of you end up

drawing a role that

doesn't suit you, or if you happen to feel unwell and miss your shot today, don't let it get you down.

"Your talent speaks for itself. Even if it's not today. | have no doubt that each of you has a bright future ahead."

Reassuring them with a slight mod, she turned toward the room where the directing team was gathered.

Josephine had only taken a few steps when she spotted Ethan. He was seated alone on a couch in the corner,

dressed simply in a crisp white dress shirt and dark slacks.

His glasses rested on the brickone

of

his nose, one hand supporting his chin as he stared at the table lamp in front of him, seemingly lost in thought.

She figured he was purposefully keeping a low profile. Probably to avoid stirring unnecessary speculation among

the other actors. So, she followed his lead,

pretending not to notice him as she walked past him.

But the moment she stepped into the room, she realized there was an unexpected

guest waiting inside-aside from the three assistant directors and Mason.
